PARTNERSHIP WITH SISTER CHURCH IN VSETIN, CZECH REPUBLIC
First Presbyterian Church partners with The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (ECCB) in Vsetin, Czech Republic to provide mutual support through prayer, regular correspondence and occasional face to face visits with each other. Last summer, we hosted two young women from the church for a month and helped make possible their participation in the PC(USA) Youth Triennieum at Purdue University in Indiana.
For the past three years, we have also planned an annual "joint" worship service in which we share the same scripture, sermons and some liturgy, music and traditions of the other. Both congregations support the work of This Child Here, a ministry withformer street children and youth in Odessa, Ukraine, as well as the work of the ECCB Diakonia in Ukraine.
In addition, we provide prayer and financial support for:
The Presbyterian Education Board of Pakistan, an organization under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan, that seeks to provide high quality education fully informed by and rising out of its Christian values and its Christian roots.
