Where We Are
We are located in the heart of historic Cumberland, within walking distance of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, the Great Allegheny Passage Trail, the C&O Canal Tow Path Trail, the Potomac River, the downtown walking mall and old Fort Cumberland.
Here’s how to find us:
First Presbyterian Church
11 Washington Street
Cumberland, Maryland 21502
From Westbound I-68: Take Exit 43C (Downtown) the ramp stops at Harrison Street. Turn left onto Harrison Street. Go one block to the traffic light and turn right onto S. Mechanic Street. Proceed to a traffic light and turn left onto Baltimore Avenue. This street will cross railroad tracks used periodically by our tourist train. Once across the tracks the street splits three ways. Continue straight onto Washington Street and the church will be 1/2 block up the hill on your right. Take the SECOND entrance into the parking lot.
From Eastbound 1_68: Take Exit 43A (Johnson Street) a short ramp where traffic coming off the ramp has the right of way to continue with a left turn onto S. Johnson Street. Proceed to the traffic light at the intersection with Greene Street. Turn right onto Greene Street. Travel 1 block to a traffic light at a “Y” intersection. Bear left at the light staying on Greene Street. Upon your approach to the next intersection (also a “y”) the street becomes 2 lanes. Travel in the left lane and turn left onto Washington Street. The church will be 1/2 block up the hill on your right. Take the SECOND entrance into the parking lot.
